Look at all existing features on your lot

Map these features on graph paper. Include all buildings, trees, hills, lot line or any other features you may have. Make sure you map everything facing the correct direction. This will help determine your light conditions.

Note your light conditions. Your lighting will vary in different areas of your yard depending on existing features. Do you have full sun, part shade or full shade?
